Bengaluru: Residents Puzzled Due To Flying Of Aircraft; Know Why

Bengaluru: For the last couple of days, Koramangala residents in Bengaluru have been disturbed by the continuous buzzing sound of an airplane circling overhead. Several residents noted that a Boeing aircraft was flying at a low altitude and completed approximately six loops over the HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) Airport.

According to Flightradar24, a Boeing 777-337 (ER) with registration number K7067, typically used for transporting VVIPs such as the Prime Minister, President, and Vice President, was identified as the aircraft in question. Flight data indicated that it took off from Delhi and circled the HAL airport six times before returning to Delhi at 10:54 pm on April 3.

Residents took to social media to express their concerns about the unusual activity. Mohan Krishnan, a retired scientist from the National Informatics Centre, suggested that since the model code of conduct was in effect due to the Lok Sabha elections, the aircraft might be engaged in maintenance flights or pilot training.

Some residents complained about the incessant noise caused by the aircraft flying at low altitudes. One resident described seeing the aircraft flying low every night, while another expressed frustration at witnessing this occurrence on a daily basis.

Another resident mentioned observing the aircraft multiple times over the past two weeks. Additionally, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy noted that while the HAL Airport primarily served as a defence airport, it was also utilized for training commercial airline pilots.
