WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is said to be working on a new feature called “audio chats,” which will be available within conversations in a future Android update.
A new waveforms icon will be added to the chat header, according to WABetaInfo, allowing users to start audio chats. Additionally, users will see a red button to end ongoing calls.
As the waveform symbol means the potential for ongoing sound representation, the report expresses that almost certainly, the space over the visit header could be held for showing sound waveforms.
Users will be able to view audio waveforms while navigating between conversations through its minimalist interface.

In addition, the report mentioned that because this feature is still in the development stage, there is not much information available regarding its operation.
In the meantime, Meta has released a new WhatsApp application for Windows that loads faster and has an interface that is comparable to that of the mobile version.
Group audio and video calls with up to 32 participants are now possible for users to host.
