This simply means that Meta will now offer Blue Tick to anyone in exchange for money. However, to get Blue Tick, users will have to be ready to pay the fixed amount of the company. At present, Meta has not started service in India but in US.
To whom Twitter and Instagram used to give blue ticks earlier?
Till a time ago there was no service pad of Blue Tick. Blue tick was given only to a select few. Talking about Twitter, Twitter used to give blue ticks only to notable personalities or journalists. At the same time, earlier Instagram used to give blue ticks to media organizations, influencers, celebrities and politicians in front of their names. Blue tick used to identify the verified profile of that famous person, but now the game of blue tick is changing completely.

Meta has currently launched its Pad Blue Tick service in the US. If you sign up on the web and want Blue Tick, the service cost is Rs 989 ($11.99) per month. Moreover, the service cost ($14.99) is Rs 1237 per month if you sign up on iOS or Android. Also tell that if you take service for web, then you will get blue tick only on Facebook, but if you choose App Store or Google Play option then you will get blue tick for both Facebook and Instagram. This is the reason why the cost of mobile service is higher than that of the web.

Rules for blue ticks on Instagram
To get a blue tick on Instagram, even if it is a blue tick with money, you must be 18 years old. Along with this, you should also have photo ID. The company will provide Blue Tick only after the verification is complete. After verification, if you get a blue tick, you will not be able to easily change the username or any other information on the profile. If you also want to make changes, then you will have to go through the verification process again.
