League Leaders Delhi Capitals are all set to take on UP Warriorz in their home ground in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) on March 8. Having a decent start to the season, Delhi Capitals will look to yet again capitalize on the home support and go on to register their 5th win 6 games this season.

Delhi have virtually secured their spot in the play offs and will look to further cement their place in the table to avoid any slip ups in the future. If Delhi finish at the top of the table, they will be booking a direct place in the WPL final for the second time in a row as well.

On the flip side, the UP Warriorz find themselves out of the playoff positions following a recent defeat to the Royal Challengers Bangalore. They currently occupy the fourth spot in the league standings, having garnered four points from five matches. Their objective is to emerge victorious in at least two of their remaining three matches to secure a playoff berth for the second consecutive year.

During the previous year’s World Cup, the pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi was remarkably even, resulting in high-scoring encounters where teams frequently surpassed the 400-run milestone when batting first. Similar pitch conditions are expected for the upcoming match.
