New Delhi: UP Warriorz captain Alyssa Healy scored her second fifty of Women’s Premier League (WPL). Healy’s 58 off 46 balls and Tahila McGrath 50 off 37 balls, helped the UPW to reached the respectable total of 159.

Alyssa Healy’s second fifty

Alyssa Healy, welcomed Hayley Matthews with a boundary, after that she took double as she reached her second fifty. Alyssa Healy smashed her second successive fifty in the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 season on Sunday. UPW opener Healy hammered a 58-run knock against high-flying Mumbai Indians.

Tahlia McGrath plays 50 runs innings

Healy shared a solid 82-run partnership for the third wicket alongside her fellow half-centurion Tahlia McGrath. Healy had earlier smashed a match-winning 96* versus RCB Women on March 1.

On the first ball itself, Alyssa started the attack and smashed the ball to boundary line through mid wicket. She then took a single on the next ball. Furthermore, Kiran Navgire took a single on the thrid ball and gave the strike back to captain. Eventually, the captain went berserk and smashed three powerful boundaries in the three next deliveries. As of writing this, she has scored 38 runs off 31 balls, and marching towards fifty.

Saika Ishaque bags three wickets

For Mumbai Indians, Saika Ishaque again showed her brilliant performance, she bagged three wickets. She successfully removed Alyssa Healy, Tahlia McGrath in the 17th over. Her first victim was Devika Vaidya, Ishaque turned the table for MI when she dismissed both the half-centurion in the same over.

Earlier in the game, UP Warriorz won the toss and decided to bat first against Mumbai Indians.
