New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) produced a clinical display with the ball as they bowled out UP Warriorz for 135 after inviting them to bat first in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) encounter at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Tuesday.

Sophie Devine first to strike

Sophie Devine struck first for RCB as she removed both the openers Devika Vaidya (0) and Alyssa Healy (1) in the very first over. Megan Schutt then scalped the wicket ofTahila McGrath to break the backbone of UPW in the next over.

Perry scalps two

The wickets kept coming as Elysse Perry swung the contest entirely into RCB’s favor by removing set Grace Harris and Deepti Sharma in the same over.

In the last over of the first innings, Shreyanka Patil  first removed Anjali Sarvani for 8(9). Then there was a run-out in the following delivery as Sophie Ecclestone searched for three runs but only got two runs.

For UPW Grace Harris was the highest run scorer, she played 46 runs innings of 32 balls, but fell prey to Ellyse Perry.
