RCB vs LSG: Match 15 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) saw the newly formed rivalry between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Lucknow Super Giants step into another chapter at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 2. The atmosphere was as electric as it could be with the Challengers opting to field first.

Quinton de Kock Delivers For LSG

LSG openers Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul knew they had to get going quickly to put up a healthy total for the visitors. However, they lost Bangalore boy KL Rahul early on at just 20 runs. It was de Kock who started to hit the ball everywhere and at a good strike rate as well.

The South African batter also completed 3000 runs in his IPL career, showcasing how important he has proven to be for the teams he has played for over the years in the cash-rich league.

His 56-ball 81 kept LSG in the hunt for a good total in the end. However, Lucknow saw the run flow being interrupted courtesy of quick wickets in the middle overs. The visitors were at 143/4 at 16.4 overs when they lost de Kock.

In came the in-form Nicholas Pooran who contributed well with a 40*-run cameo to take LSG to a respectable 181/5 in their 20 overs. Pooran’s innings also saw him cross 100 sixes in IPL in just 62 matches.

With Virat Kohli playing in his record 100th match in Bengaluru, fans would be looking forward to witnessing him with the bat in the 2nd innings
