Bumrah’s IPL Comeback
Bumrah went on to finish with astonishing figures of 3/14 in his four overs, marking an unbelievable return to the cash-rich league for Mumbai Indians. Bumrah picked the wickets of Sai Sudharshan and David Miller to limit Gujarat to 168/6 in their 20 overs.

Hardik’s Homecoming
In the IPL 2024 opener against his former team, the Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to field. Before the toss, the Gujarat Titans, winners of the IPL once, included three players in their squad: senior Indian pacer Umesh Yadav, Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai, and Australian fast bowler Spencer Johnson. Bumrah’s absence during the 2023 season was strongly felt by the Mumbai Indians.
