New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) pacer Mohammed Siraj claimed the Indian Premier League’s career best bowling figure on Thursday, April 20 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium in Mohali as he scalped 4/21 in his 4-over quota.

RCB posts 174 on board
After winning the toss PBKS skipper Sam Curran invited RCB to bat first, replaying to that latter posted 174/4 in 20 overs, riding on Faf du Plessis’s sublime 84.
Siraj bags 4 wickets
In response, Siraj led the bowling attack of RCB and PBKS were restricted for 150 in 18.2 overs. Atharva Taide welcomed Siraj with a four of the very first ball before the right-arm pacer trapped the former LBW with an in-swinger. In his second over, another LBW call saw Liam Livingstone be dismissed for two. Siraj, who clocked 2/14 in the PP overs, came back and conceded just four in the 14th.He claimed two scalps for four runs in the 18th.

With his four wicket-haul, Siraj is now the leading wicket taker in the IPL. Siraj now hold the purple cap with 12 wickets in 6 outings. Siraj’s average is 13.41, besides an economy rate of 6.70.
