With the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) coming into the business end, there is one game which will be attracting all the eyeballs in terms of the IPL playoffs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be taking on the Chennai Super Kings to try to get that last spot in the top 4 of the tournament. However, the blockbuster game might experience some interruption by a fan who claims to invade the Bengaluru pitch on May 18.

A passionate fan has planned to breach security during the crucial RCB vs CSK match of the 2024 Indian Premier League on May 18 at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. This match holds significant importance for both teams’ qualification chances for the top four positions.

Authorities On Alert for RCB vs CSK

Despite the potential security breach, authorities have been alerted after a viral video showed the fan detailing his plan to bypass security and enter the playing area. Concerned individuals on social media promptly notified Bengaluru police, urging them to take preemptive measures.

In addition to security concerns, heavy rainfall is expected, posing further challenges to the game’s smooth conduct. Rainfall probabilities stand at 80%, escalating to 85% around the scheduled start time, making a full 20-over game unlikely.

The fixture holds particular significance for RCB, as they require a specific victory margin against CSK to maintain their playoff hopes. CSK, led by Faf du Plessis, currently enjoys a five-match winning streak and sits in sixth place on the points table with 12 points from six wins out of 13 matches.
