New Delhi: Virat Kohli scored his second ton of this year and showed his batting master-class on Sunday in the One Day International 2023 against Sri Lanka at Greenfield Stadium in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram.
The right-hand batter smashed spectacular shots all over the park, making his fans go crazy at the stadium along with the ones watching him on their TV screens.
Kohli once again wreaked havoc with his bat and hit his 46th century in ODIs. Kohli hit fours and sixes in his innings. Soon after he hit the century, King Kohli took the full control and hit explosive sixes while batting fast.
Hit an amazing six of 97 meters
Virat has hit an amazing six of 97 meters after scoring 101 runs in the 44th over. As soon as Rajita bowled the fourth ball of this over, Kohli stepped forward and went to the length of the ball going outside the off-stump, rotated the bat and leg, then hit such a six over the mid-wicket that everyone was stunned. After hitting this six, Virat Kohli sat at the crease.

‘Unstoppable Virat’
Virat’s fast batting continued after he reached the century. In the 45th over, Shreyas Iyer took a single off Chamika Karunaratne’s first ball and gave strike to Kohli. As soon as Chamika bowled the second ball of this over to Kohli, Virat smashed the ball toward the long-off.
Now it was the turn of the next ball. It became difficult to stop Kohli who was creating a storm. On the very next ball, King Kohli once again created a storm and hit a six towards midwicket. The shot was excellent and wonderful.
On the fifth ball, Kohli hit the Sri Lankan bowler for a four towards deep cover. Now Kohli did not stop. Kohli, once again in the 47th over, created a sensation by hitting two sixes on the first and second ball.

Hit 8 sixes in ODI for the first time
King Kohli stayed at the crease till the end. He scored an unbeaten 166 in 110 balls. In the wonderful innings, he hit 13 fours-8 sixes and scored runs at a strike rate of 150.91. These were Kohli’s first 8 sixes in ODIs.
Earlier he had collected 7 sixes. Thanks to Kohli’s explosive innings, Team India scored 390 runs in 50 overs. Shubman Gill scored 116, Rohit Sharma 42, Shreyas Iyer 38, KL Rahul 7, Suryakumar Yadav 4 and Akshar Patel scored 2 runs.
