Amidst the ongoing the rift between Indian and Pakistan related to the Champions Trophy 2025, the International Cricket Council (ICC) is expected to announce the schedule of the tournament this weekend. As reported by IANS, the world’s largest cricket governing body is engaged in talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board and a detailed schedule of the tournament is expected to be announced at the end of this week.

The tournament has been among the most debated topics in the cricket fraternity after BCCI refused to travel to Pakistan for playing the Champions Trophy 2025 due to security issues. The world’s richest cricket board wants the tournament to be played under the hybrid model and will that Team India’s matches in the competition shall be shifted to any other country.

While, on one end the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wills to shift the tournament outside Pakistan, on the other hand, PCB stands firm with their decision and aren’t ready to take any match outside their country. The Pakistan Cricket Board has repeatedly said that the board is open to resolve BCCI’s concerns and willn’t any matches outside Pakistan. There had been reports that Champions Trophy may be shifted to Sri Lanka or South Africa if it is played under hybrid model. However, any official information regarding the same hasn’t been released by the International Cricket Council.
