“Delhi is not safe,” said a woman in a short video she made on Sunday and uploaded to Instagram.
In a video, she revealed how she was eve-teased by car-borne men in Delhi near Lajpat Nagar when she was going to her home. She tagged Delhi police and the National Commission for Women to take cognisance.
Since the video was uploaded, it has more than 8 million views and thousands of comments in which users demanded strict action.
Describing the incident, the woman said when she was returning home from Lajpat Nagar, a group of men packed in a car shouted at her and said, “Oye idhar aa.”

While showing her clothes, the woman said there is nothing revealing, but still they misbehaved. Delhi is not safe. Later, she said that a man on a bicycle passed by while singing a vulgar song.
“It is not the first time that a woman in Delhi has been sexually appropriated, lucid remarks passed on, or has faced obscenity. We are, in general, now accustomed to handle such situation on a daily basis whether around bus stop or metro or anywhere elsebut what does it reflect upon our capital of India, Delhi?” reads the caption of the video.
Social media said, “Sorry, lady! Police is busy solving comedy shows,” while another said, “sorry for the inconvenience didi woh latent dekhne me busy hai (National issue hai)”
