Shardiya Navratri 2023: According to the Hindu calendar, Navratri occurs four times a year. The notable ones are Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratri. Chaitra Navratri, which follows Pitru Paksha, holds special significance and is celebrated with grandeur. Durga Puja is performed during this time, with beautiful Maa Durga pandals set up at various locations. Shardiya Navratri commences on the Pratipada of the Ashwin month’s Shukla Paksha.

During these nine days, devotees worship the nine forms of Maa Durga and observe a fast. In 2023, Navratri begins on October 15.
The inauguration of Navratri is marked by the installation of the Kalash, and its auspicious installation time is of great importance. According to the Panchang, the most auspicious time to establish the Kalash this year is from 11:44 am to 12:30 pm on October 15, lasting for 46 minutes. Therefore, preparations should be made ahead to ensure the puja is conducted at this auspicious time.
