Soyabean Idli Recipe: Often think of eating healthy and tasty in the morning for breakfast. Nowadays, in the wintertime, we try to make some morning breakfast quickly. High Protein Soya Idli Recipe is very easy to make and is rich in protein as well. It is made from soaked and ground soybeans, mixed with soaked and ground idli rice and urad dal. The batter is fermented just like regular idli and dosa batter and the result is absolutely delicious.

When idli is made with soya batter, it becomes soft and tasty like cotton. So let’s do something new and fun with Idli and learn how to make it.

Soyabean Idli Recipe: Ingredients

  • 1 cup soybean
  • 1 cup white urad dal
  • 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 cup idli rice
  • 1 tsp chana dal
  • salt to taste

Method of making Soya Idli

1. First of all, soak the dal, rice and soyabean in separate bowls.

2. Add fenugreek seeds and chana dal together in the bowl of urad dal. Soak the rice for at least 5-6 hours.

3. After soaking, grind all the ingredients together to make a thick paste. Add little water and grind again.

4. Add salt and mix well. Cover the bowl and ferment the batter for at least 6 hours or overnight.

5. Once fermented, mix again. Steam in an idli steamer and serve hot with sambar and coconut chutney.
