Sarva Pindi Recipe: Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp peanuts or chana dal
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 chopped green chili
  • 1 tsp curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • salt (to taste)
  • oil (for frying)

Method 

  • To make Telangana’s famous recipe Sarva Pindi, first of all, leave the chana dal or peanuts to soak in water for about 20 minutes.
  • After about 20 minutes, wash the lentils thoroughly and filter them. After that put it in a bowl.
  • Now add sesame seeds, finely chopped green chilies, onion, salt and chili powder and mix it well.
  • After this, mix rice flour in it and knead the dough by adding water as needed.
  • Keep the dough covered for about 5 minutes. On the other hand, keep the griddle on the gas for heating.
  • Now make balls of flour and roll them round like roti.
  • After putting it in a griddle or pan, make holes at different places.
  • After this, put oil in these holes and cover them with a lid.
  • Cook it in low flame for about 10 minutes and then turn off the gas.
  • Prepare all in this way and your Sarva Pindi recipe is ready.
