1/2 cup – desi ghee
3/4 cup – Mawa (khoya)
14 to 15- Almonds
14 to 15- Cashews
1/2 tsp – cardamom powder
Recipe
To make pudding in Banarasi style, first cut the pumpkin properly and cut it and take out its soft pulp. Peel off the top and keep it aside. After this, cut pieces of pumpkin and grind them in the mixture. Now it will be ready like a paste.
Keep a pan on the gas for heating and heat the milk in it on medium flame. Keep stirring it in between with a spoon. When the milk starts boiling, add the pumpkin paste and mix it well. Let it cook for a while and keep stirring it with a spoon, otherwise the pumpkin paste may stick to the pan. Let it thicken and then turn off the gas.
Place another pan on the gas and add ghee to it and heat it. After this, fry dry fruits like cashews and almonds in it and then take them out in a plate. After this, fry the mawa i.e. khoya well in ghee. Add sugar according to taste and cook on medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
