New Delhi: Top wrestlers Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malikkh and other grapplers who tried to head towards the new Parliament builidng in the national capital were detained on Sunday citing security reasons.
As they were being dragged and shoved into the vans, the grapplers said they did not know where they were being taken to. Bajrang Punia accused the Delhi Police and said the latter did what they could instead of arresting WFI chief and BJP chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
The wrestlers held the protest against the WFI chief alleging that Brij Bhushan sexually assaulted female coaches and athletes.

Ace wrestler Bajrang Punia was taken in a ddifferent vehicle while others including Vinesh Phogat was shoved in the bus. Talking to media, Sakshi Malikkh said she was dragged in and was manhandled as her clothes were torn as well.
Special Commissioner Depender Pathak said the matter will be taken a stock of and legal action will be taken.
He said the protestors viloated the law and order as the Section 144 was imposed there.
