As per the newspaper, the refree gave his statement to the police in which he backed up a complainant who alleged that the WFI chief “place his hands on my buttocks” after which she tried to free herself.

Jagbir Singh who has been a refree since 2007 further stated that he did not see him while doing the act but “his hands and legs were always active, saying ‘come here, stand here’.” He added that it was clear from the behaviour of the wrestler that something was wrong.
