Frustrated by the authorities’ lack of response to repeated repair requests, she sat in a pothole filled with muddy water. Despite numerous complaints and appeals for the potholes to be fixed, the authorities failed to take action, prompting her to stage a demonstration.

Photographs of the woman’s protest quickly went viral as she sat in a pothole in Nagole. Nearby, traffic police constables observed her demonstration against the Hyderabad civic authorities for their failure to fix the potholes.
Construction of a flyover in the area has been progressing at a snail’s pace, turning the busy road beneath, which connects Uppal Crossroads and Medipally, into a nightmare for commuters, local residents, and hawkers.
