Telangana: A woman resident of Anandnagar, Nagole, staged an unconventional protest against the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to highlight the poor condition of the city’s roads. Frustrated by the authorities’ lack of response to repeated repair requests, she sat in a pothole filled with muddy water. Despite numerous complaints and appeals for the potholes to be fixed, the authorities failed to take action, prompting her to stage a demonstration.

Photographs of the woman’s protest quickly went viral as she sat in a pothole in Nagole. Nearby, traffic police constables observed her demonstration against the Hyderabad civic authorities for their failure to fix the potholes.
Construction of a flyover in the area has been progressing at a snail’s pace, turning the busy road beneath, which connects Uppal Crossroads and Medipally, into a nightmare for commuters, local residents, and hawkers.
