New Delhi: More than half of the month of October has passed and now cold is going to knock in the country soon. In many states, the feeling of cold has also started. Looking at this change of weather, it seems that this time the winter season is going to last longer. Snowfall has started in the mountains of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal and Uttarakhand. Due to which the temperature will further drop in the coming days. Also, this year cold will knock soon in the country.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the effect of the Western Disturbance coming over the Himalayas is likely to be visible in the Gangetic plains from next week. Due to its effect, there will be a drop in the night temperature but, there will be strong sunlight during the day. Meanwhile, there is still a shadow of rain in many states of the country.

The South-West monsoon is now in the final stage of its withdrawal process and it will make a comeback from many states by next week. Meanwhile, a new cyclonic pressure center is forming in the lower troposphere over the Bay of Bengal, according to the Meteorological Department (IMD).

At the same time, in the Arabian Sea, a new cyclonic pressure center is seen forming in the lower troposphere near Karnataka and Konkan coast. Along with this, a western disturbance is also forming. Due to this, many states of the country are expected to receive rain in the next week.

Chances of rain in these places

According to the Meteorological Department, in these conditions, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Gangetic plains of Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Konkan, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Lakshadweep Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka chances of rain are visible in Telangana.

These States to witness light rain

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast light rain in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab today. According to MID, rain is possible in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. There is a possibility of rain in many areas of Odisha, South Chhattisgarh, Lakshadweep, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur.

These States might witness light rain

According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, it may rain at some places in South Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in many areas of Chhattisgarh, Southeast Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Along with this, rain may also occur over Odisha, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya.
