Light rain lashes Delhi-NCR regions on Friday

Weather Update Rain: Delhi-NCR witnessed light rain spell on Saturday as it turns the mood of the weather. The residents of Delhi-NCR woke up to a pleasant morning on Saturday. This spell has brought pollution level down to the some extent. (Weather Update Rain) The maximum temperature during last days went to above 35 degree with strong sunrays.

According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, light to moderate rain would occur on Sunday as well. It further says, “Thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of Kaithal, Narwana (Haryana). Light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of Delhi (Alipur, Burari, Karawal Nagar)”

“Civil Lines, Seelampur, Vivek Vihar, IGI Airport, NCR (Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Gurugram, Manesar) Deoband, Najibabad, Shamli, Bijnaur, Chandpur, Bagpat, Meerut, Khekra, Modinagar (U.P.) during next 2 hours,” tweeted Regional Met Centre New Delhi.

It is also noted that IMD’s Chennai reginal department has ealier predicted thunderstorm and lightening on Friday night in Chennai.

The weather department added that light to moderate rain may occur at one or two placesin various areas.

“Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Thiruvallur, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Ranipet, Vellore, Thirupattur, Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Cuddalore, Karur, Namakkal, Nilgiris and Sivagangai districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next three hours,” the statement read further.

Light rain is expected over Assam, Jammu, Sikkim and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Along with this, thundershowers may occur in parts of Punjab, North Haryana and South Tamil Nadu. There is a possibility of rain in parts of Haryana, North West Rajasthan and North West Uttar Pradesh on next week.
