Weather Update: Seasonal variations can be seen in many states of the country, according to Indian Metrological Department (IMD). The nation’s weather pattern is rapidly shifting. While snow is falling in the highlands, it is raining steadily in the southern states. The light cold has begun in North and Central India, but they are also concerned about the pollution in Delhi and the neighbouring areas.
In the hilly parts, there has been some light snowfall. The upper regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand have been receiving light snowfall and rain for the past three to four days due to the Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayas. As a result, the temperature in these locations is constantly falling.
The plains of North and Central India will soon experience snowfall and rain, according to the Meteorological Department. Between November 8 and 9, these regions should see cold weather. Many states in the nation, including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, and Odisha, may soon experience cold weather.
The Bay of Bengal’s cyclonic circulation is also to blame for the recent three to four days of nonstop rain. According to the Meteorological Department, today could bring rain from the north-east monsoon in various regions of the nation, including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
Today could bring light rain and snow to Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Himachal Pradesh, according to private weather forecasting organisation Skymet Weather. The probability of rain is also present in several areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and south interior Karnataka.
In numerous locations, including Punjab, South Assam, and Manipur, rain is possible. On the other hand, most locations in Delhi’s AQI rating are thought to fall into the severe category.
