Weather Update: The third week of March is going on and the weather is changing rapidly. The heat, which has been continuing since the first week of March, has got a break due to rains for the last three-four days. Even today, there is a possibility of rain in many parts of the country. During this, there is a possibility of hailstorm along with strong wind. Earlier, it has been raining in different parts of the country since Saturday. Due to which a drop in temperature has been registered.
Due to this rain, where people got some relief from the heat, but the farmers have suffered huge losses. Wheat, mustard and vegetables have been extensively damaged due to unseasonal rains and hailstorm. Due to this rain, there is a possibility of high moisture content in wheat grains, due to which the quality of the grain is likely to deteriorate. Due to this the farmers are seen upset and worried.

Meanwhile, today i.e. between March 23 and March 25, another Western Disturbance is becoming active in North-West India. Due to this, there is a forecast of rain and hailstorm with thunderstorm in many areas. In view of this Western Disturbance, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain, hailstorm and storm in medium mountainous and plain areas along with snowfall in high altitude mountainous areas.

According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of snow with rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. There may be rain and snow in parts of Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
There may be rain and thundershowers in parts of Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, East Vidarbha and Telangana. Along with this, rain is also likely over Northeast India, parts of Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Terai areas of Uttar Pradesh. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu may also receive rain.
While on March 24, there are chances of scattered rain and isolated hailstorm with moderate winds in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
