A leopard attack in the Wazirpur area of Burari on Monday morning left over a dozen men injured. The incident took place at approximately 6:20 am within the Roop Nagar jurisdiction. Reports indicate that the leopard entered a house situated at Gali No. 3, near Adarsh Shop, in Jagatpur Village, Wazirabad, Delhi. The Delhi Fire Service was promptly notified of the situation and dispatched two fire trucks to the location.

According to a residents, the leopard initially attacked several villagers around 5:30 am, prompting them to make a PCR call. Subsequently, the attacks continued, resulting in 15-16 individuals sustaining injuries. The injuries varied, with some victims suffering wounds to their stomachs, shoulders, and necks.

With the assistance of local residents, authorities successfully cornered the leopard in a room by 8:25 am, effectively confining it. However, during this process, four to five individuals sustained injuries. They were promptly transported to the hospital for urgent medical treatment.

“At 08:25, a leopard was successfully confined to a room, resulting in injuries to four to five individuals. They have been promptly transported to the hospital for medical attention,” officials confirmed.

Further updates are pending as the situation develops. Police personnel are currently on-site managing the situation, and the forest department has been informed.
