‘Vikas Ki Ganga’ Has Nurtured Kashi In 10 Years: PM Modi In Varanasi

On Friday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Kashi Hindu University, continuing his Varanasi tour into its second day. He presided over a program held at Swatantrata Bhawan where he distributed certificates to the top performers of the Kashi Sansad Sanskrit Competition. Commencing his speech with 'Namah: Parvati Pataye Har Har Mahadev'.

On Friday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Banaras Hindu University, continuing his Varanasi tour into its second day. He presided over a program held at Swatantrata Bhawan where he distributed certificates to the top performers of the Kashi Sansad Sanskrit Competition. Accompanying him were Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary. Additionally, the Prime Minister presented certificates and medals to winners of competitions held in various categories, including the MP Photography Competition, MP Music Competition, and MP Knowledge Competition.

Modi Begins His Speech With Shiva’s Name 

Commencing his address with ‘Namah: Parvati Pataye Har Har Mahadev’, the Prime Minister emphasized Kashi’s status as the seat of knowledge, noting the resurgence of its power and significance. He expressed pride in the city’s progress, highlighting the launch of two books providing comprehensive insights into the developmental efforts undertaken in Kashi over the past decade.

PM Modi underscored the notion that we are mere instruments, with the true doer being Mahadev in Kashi. He emphasized that wherever Mahadev’s blessings reside, prosperity follows. Kashi transcends being merely a pilgrimage site; it is the nucleus of India’s timeless consciousness. The Prime Minister reminisced about a period when India’s prosperity resonated worldwide, attributing it not solely to economic prowess but also to cultural, social, and spiritual abundance. He highlighted the significance of pilgrimage destinations like Kashi and temples like Vishwanath Dham, which served as crucibles for the nation’s advancement.

PM Modi emphasized the profound contribution of Sanskrit to the enrichment of knowledge, science, and spirituality, labeling it as the foremost among languages in this regard. He described India as not just a geographical entity, but an idea, with Sanskrit serving as its primary expression and historical cornerstone. Modi articulated his vision for the country’s development over the next five years, expressing confidence in revitalizing progress and forging new pathways to success. He assured that his commitments were more than just words, drawing upon the trust of the people of Kashi, who understand that his pledges are synonymous with fulfillment.
