In a tragic turn of events, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, witnessed a devastating start to the New Year as a fatal road accident claimed the lives of six friends. The incident occurred near the roundabout in the Circuit House area, falling under the jurisdiction of the Bistupur police station.

Reports suggest that the accident was caused by a speeding vehicle that lost control, colliding initially with a divider before crashing into a tree and overturning. The impact of the collision was so intense that the sound reverberated across the vicinity, prompting nearby residents to rush to the scene.

Fatal Outcome and Police Response
Tragically, all six individuals travelling in the vehicle succumbed to their injuries at the site of the accident. Local residents alerted the authorities, leading to the arrival of the police, who swiftly took charge of the bodies, arranging for post-mortem examinations and attending to the injured. The police force is currently engaged in determining the destination of the deceased youths after their party celebration.
Post-Party Tragedy
The devastating incident occurred reportedly as the group was returning from a celebratory gathering at a local hotel, coinciding with the onset of the morning hours. A gathering of onlookers congregated as the damaged vehicle, which had to be extracted using a crane, was the site where the bodies of the deceased were recovered. All six individuals hailed from the Kuluptanga area under the RIT police station’s jurisdiction.

Survivors and Witness Account
Sunil Jha, the father of Ravi Shankar, one of the individuals injured in the accident, revealed that while six lives were tragically lost, his son miraculously survived the ordeal. It has come to light that the vehicle involved in the accident accommodated a total of eight occupants. While six lost their lives, two individuals managed to survive. Jha mentioned that all the youths hailed from the Baba Ashram locality.
