Shiv Sena State president join Shinde faction

New Delhi: Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has suffered another setback. Shiv Sena presidents from 12 of the 15 states has joined the Eknath Shinde faction.

Following the rebellion in the Uddhav Thackeray faction, many MLAs had joined the Shinde faction, after which Uddhav resigned from the post of Chief Minister. On June 30, Eknath Shinde was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Devendra Fadnavis as the Deputy Chief Minister.

In the meeting held on Thursday 15 September, Shiv Sena presidents from 12 states have been included in the Shinde faction. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has assured all possible help to all these state heads for the development of the party in their states.

Those joining the Eknath Shinde faction include Delhi Shiv Sena state chief Sandeep Choudhary, Manipur chief Tombi Singh, Madhya Pradesh chief Thadeshwar Mahawar, Chhattisgarh chief Dhananjay Parihar, Gujarat chief S.R. Patil, Rajasthan chief Lakhan Singh Pawar.

Apart from these, Hyderabad chief Murari Anna, Goa chief Jitesh Kamat, Karnataka chief Kumar A Hakri, West Bengal chief Shanti Dutta, Odisha state in-charge Jyotisree Prasanna Kumar, Tripura state in-charge Barivadev Nath are involved.
