New Delhi: Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Maliwal has received rape threats on Instagram. Maliwal has been threatened through two different Instagram accounts.
Both the users used obscene words against her and threatened to rape her. Swati Maliwal has registered a formal complain with the Delhi Police. She has also asked to register a case against both the individuals.
Swati Maliwal rolled out this information through a tweet. She wrote, “Ever since I have written a letter to the I&B minister to oust #SajidKhan from Bigg Boss, I am being threatened with rape on Instagram. Obviously they want to stop our work. I am giving complaint to Delhi Police. Register FIR and investigate. Arrest those who are behind them!”

Swati Maliwal wrote a letter to Anurag Thakur
Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Swati Maliwal had written a letter to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur a day earlier, demanding the removal of filmmaker and director Sajid Khan from the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. In the year 2018, Sajid Khan was accused of sexual harassment by many women associated with the film industry.
