Seema Haidar Case: Over the speculation regarding the Pakistani national Seema Haider being an agent, Uttar Pradesh Special Director General Law & Order Prashant Kumar on Wednesday said that it is too early to say anything as two nations are involved in this matter.

“All agencies are doing their work. This matter is linked to two nations, it is not right to say anything unless there is sufficient proof. She had once been to jail and is now on bail. Further action is being taken…,” said Kumar, while replying to speculations on weather Seema Haider is an agent.

However, Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) on Tuesday quizzed Seema Haider for 12 hours, who reached India illegally to meet her lover in Noida. During the questioning, she was quizzed over her reaching India through Nepal, and other details, News 18 quoted sources as saying.

Haider, who has been providing repetitive statements about coming to India only to meet her boyfriend Sachin Meena, is undergoing detailed interrogation by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). The ATS apprehended both Haider and Meena from Meena’s residence in Greater Noida on Monday morning, seeking clarification on their involvement in certain matters.

To validate Haider’s claims, the ATS is currently focused on corroborating her statements with data obtained from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). In order to conduct a thorough analysis, Haider’s mobile phone and other personal belongings have been seized by the ATS for data extraction purposes.

Sources within the UP ATS have expressed the importance of establishing the veracity of Haider’s statements, emphasizing the need for technical support to determine if her claims are accurate or if she has ulterior motives, such as involvement in subversive activities or being sent by an adversary.

The ATS investigation remains inconclusive until the technical analysis yields conclusive results. Meanwhile, sources within the UP Police, who are also involved in the inquiry, have stated that there are currently no suspicions regarding Haider’s involvement in espionage. However, it is still too early to make definitive conclusions at this stage of the investigation.

Seema Haider, a 30-year-old woman, entered India from Nepal in May along with her four children with the intention of residing with her partner, Sachin Meena, 22, in the Rabupura area of Greater Noida. Their initial contact was established in 2019 through the popular online game PUBG.

On July 4, Haider was arrested by the UP Police for illegally entering India, while Meena was apprehended for harboring illegal immigrants. Subsequently, both of them were granted bail, and they have since been living together in the Rabupura area.
