Saurav Kumar: Rashtriya Lok Janta Dal (RLJD) chief Upendra Kushwaha has been given Y+ category security on the recommendation of Central Intelligence Department (CID).
Upendra Kushwaha has thanked the Centre for providing him the security.
This comes days after Kushwaha left the Janata Dal (United) last month and announced his own political outfit called RJLD and became the national president of the party.
“This is a new political beginning and I make the announcement of a new political party Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal. As I have floated my new political party, I also quit from the primary membership of the JD(U) along with resignation as the member of Bihar legislative council,“ Kushwaha had said while addressing his supporters.
It is worth noting that before breaking up alliance with the JDU, Kushawaha had levelled serious charges against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar accusing the latter of “mortgaging the political legacy”.
Kushwaha’s relationship with CM Kumar has faced many ups and downs as the former had left JD(U) twice earlier and later joined. In 2007 and 2013, Kushwaha had left the party.
He had also formed an outfit called Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) the second time he broke up with JD(U) but later merged with Nitish Kumar’s outfit.
