Odisha train Accident: After taking stock of the situation from the accident site and meeting with the injured at a hospital in Balasor, PM Modi on Saturday evening said I have no words to express the grief that I am experiencing.

He ensured that those found guilty will be punished.

“In this journey, the citizens of many states have lost something or the other. Many people have lost their lives. The government will leave no stone unturned in the treatment of the injured. This is a serious incident, and instructions have been issued to investigate from every angle. Those found guilty will be punished severely. The railway track is working towards restoration,” said PM Modi. 

As per information, around 290 people have died so far and around 900 are injured and their treatment is underway in many local hospitals. 

Earlier today, PM Modi reached the site, where Coromondal Express, Yasyantnagar-Howrah Express, and a goods train met with a horrific accident on Friday evening.
