Noida: Why Did This Techie Fake His Kidnapping? The Reason Will Leave You SHOCKED!

In a bizarre and chilling incident, the police arrested a 27-year-old man on Tuesday from Noida for allegedly faking his abduction to extort Rs 50 lakh from his parents. The police informed that the man was accompanied by his four friends who helped him in his heinous act.

The key accused who originally hails from Gwalior, worked in a multinational company in Noida for the past three months. According to the police, he hatched the plan due to financial constraints.

Gaur’s Relation With His Parents

As per Additional Commissioner of Police Manish Kumar Mishra, the techie, and one of his neighborhood friends, hatched the plot to cheat the parents, who operated a cable business in Gwalior. Reports suggest that Gaur had strained relations with his parents who were not in a position to help him financially.

Techie’s Plan To Dupe His Parents

ADCP informed that the accused techie hired a car and departed from Noida, along with his four friends, on September 10. Additionally, the police stated that the techie’s parents were called and demanded ransom, following which they filed a missing report at the Expressway police station. On the same day, police carried our a probe to trace the suspect.

As per reports, when days turned into weeks without getting the extortion money, the parents doubted their son’s involvement in the matter.

Police Nabs Techie In Haryana

The police later tracked the man’s cell phone location and found him walking on the streets of Rewari in Haryana. During interrogation, he confessed that he planned his own kidnapping, with the help of his friends.

A case under various sections of Bharatiya Nyaya sanhita was registered against them – 318(4) (cheating), 308(5) (extortion), and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy). Efforts are underway to nab other two accused, the police informed.
