Jodhpur SDM Priyanka Bishnoi passed away after 15 days of treatment at a private hospital. Family members of Priyanka have accused the Hospital administration for alleged negligence in her treatment. They demanded for investigation from the District Collector. Her family has alleged that she was given high dose of anesthesia which worsened her condition during the treatment.
According to the reports, Priyanka had complained of stomach pain and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital. She was operated almost 20 days ago at Jaipur’s Vasundhara Hospital. Her condition deteriorated after the operation and was rushed to the hospital in Ahmedabad where she died.
The District administration has taken cognizance of the matter and ordered probe into allegations of medical negligence. Following the demands of Priyanka Bishnoi’s family, Jodhpur DM Gaurav Agrawal directed the S.N Medical College administration to form an expert committee to investigate the matter and submit the reports within three days.
Who Was Priyanka Bishnoi?
Priyanka Bishnoi, 36-year-old Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officer was posted as assistant collector of Jodhpur. She was an officer of 2016 RAS batch. She was born in Bikaner on 8 August 1981. Her father is a lawyer and she was married to excise inspector Vikram Bishnoi. Priyanka was often seen in traditional attire of Rajasthan while on duty. She was honoured by the Rajasthan Government for her public service works on 15 August.
Hospital’s Response On Allegations
On allegations by the family, Vasundhara Hospital doctors have denied all of them. Doctors said that there were no medical complication in her treatment, but a problem was detected in her mind during the test which could have dangerous and deadly side effects. The doctors added, she was stressed before the surgery which was detected in CT scan also.
Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma also expressed his sadness over demise of Jodhpur SDM Priyanka Bishnoi. “The demise of Rajasthan Administrative Service officer Priyanka Bishnoi ji is extremely sad. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed soul in his feet and give strength to the family members to bear this grief”, tweeted Bhajanlal Sharma.
