Reacting to the development, Former Chief Minister and BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan attacked Congress saying that its not the chopper but the grand old party itself ran out of fuel.

In a statement shared on X, Shivraj Singh’s Office remarked, “While Rahul Gandhi claimed his helicopter couldn’t take off due to fuel shortage, it’s not the helicopter but rather the Congress party that has run out of fuel.”

However, the state Congress president, Jitu Patwari, attributed the delay to bad weather and rain in Bhopal, causing a delay in fuel supply to Shahdol. Patwari clarified that Rahul’s helicopter remained grounded due to poor weather conditions and security concerns, prompting him to stay overnight in Shahdol and depart the following morning.
