Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Modi Govt Can Gift These Five Schemes

New Delhi: In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Led – Central Government can reportedly facilitate people with a bunch of gifts in order to uplift the people of the society.

However, on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set the wave if the elections during his speech at Red Fort.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi announced the launch of ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme – aiming to uplift more than two crore women in the villages. The scheme aligns with the Centre mission of poverty alleviation and economic empowerment.

Apart from this, several other schemes including affordable housing scheme for the middle-class people.

Here are the five gifts schemes that the government is about to offer to people of the country:

Potential Drop in Petrol and Diesel Prices

The ongoing discussions about reducing petrol and diesel prices could soon see fruition. International crude oil markets are experiencing a decline in prices, with WTI crude oil down by 0.46 percent at $80.35 per barrel and Brent crude oil down by 0.18 percent at $83.88 per barrel. This trend hints at a possible decrease in petrol and diesel prices in the near future.

Affordable Medicines through Jan Aushadhi Kendras

PM Modi’s Independence day speech included plans to expand Jan Aushadhi Kendras from 10,000 to 25,000. These centres will focus on areas with limited medicine availability and where medication costs are high. Additionally, these centres will provide access to low-cost generic medicines.

Vishwakarma Yojana: Loans for Traditional Professionals

The Vishwakarma Yojana, commencing from September 15, aims to provide loans up to one lakh rupees to 15 categories of traditional professionals. Banks will levy a maximum interest of five percent on these loans. Guidelines for this scheme have been circulated to all banks, benefiting a substantial number of individuals.

Affordable Housing Initiative

PM Modi announced plans for affordable housing for low-income urban residents during his Red Fort speech. This initiative is anticipated to align with the upcoming festive season between Dussehra and Diwali, during which people often make significant purchases such as homes or gold. This scheme is likely to aid middle-class urban dwellers.

Potential New Pension Model

The ambiguity surrounding the New Pension Scheme and the Old Pension Scheme has led to confusion among employees and governments alike. To address this, there is an intention to introduce a new pension model. A dedicated committee has been formed, indicating prospects for a favorable outcome that could resolve existing challenges.
