The TMC took to X to share the news of Banerjee’s injury. They posted a picture showing her with a bleeding forehead, stating, “Our chairperson @MamataOfficial sustained a major injury. Please keep her in your prayers.”

According to a hospital official, the 69-year-old politician slipped and struck her head on furniture at her home shortly after returning from an event in South Kolkata’s Ballygunge.

In June of last year, Mamata Banerjee experienced a leg injury when her helicopter had to make an emergency landing at the Sevoke airbase near Siliguri due to adverse weather conditions. She suffered ligament injuries to her left knee joint and left hip joint as a result.

A few months later, in September, Mamata Banerjee suffered another injury to her left leg while traveling in Spain. Subsequently, the West Bengal Chief Minister announced that an infection had developed on her injured leg.
