The YSRCP, led by Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, revealed the list of candidates for all 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. The announcement took place at the ‘samadhi’ (grave) of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy in Idupulupaya, Kadapa district, with party supremo Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in attendance.

During the announcement, Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh revealed the names of the candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, while Revenue Minister D. Prasada Rao did the same for the Assembly polls.

According to the list, B. Jhansi Laxmi will be the candidate for the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency, G. Uma Bala will contest from Narasapuram, and V. Vijayasai Reddy will try his luck from Nellore. As anticipated, the incumbent MP Y. S. Avinash Reddy will be contesting from the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, rallying against the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance, proclaimed himself as a ‘lion’ who stands alone. He accused the tripartite alliance of failing to deliver on their promises made during the 2014 elections.

Speaking at the ‘Siddham’ meeting of the YSR Congress Party in Medarametla, Bapatla district, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized TDP president and former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for making unrealistic promises. Additionally, he outlined the plans of the YSRCP after securing power again.
