Land For Jobs Scam: Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav will appear before the ED on Tuesday in the Land for Jobs case. Tejashwi has reached Delhi only on Monday evening. ED has sent summons to Tejashwi and called him to the headquarters on April 11. Earlier, Tejashwi appeared before the CBI on 25 March.

ED will interrogate Tejashwi Yadav for the first time. Earlier, Tejashwi had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against the summons sent by the CBI. Tejashwi had expressed his inability to appear before the CBI due to his personal engagements.

Petition in High Court regarding summons

Tejashwi wanted the CBI to interrogate him through video conferencing. But the court, while hearing the petition on March 16, directed him to appear before the CBI on March 25. However, the court assured him that he would not be arrested.

If reliable sources are to be believed, it is expected that the ED will interrogate him for a long time. Please inform that in this matter many members of the Lalu family as well as people close to him have been questioned.

Prima facie of case

The CBI alleges that this investigation is being done to find out the investments made by Lalu Yadav’s family and their relatives in various fields including real estate. According to the CBI, Lalu Yadav, when he was the Railway Minister, had appointed various persons to Group D posts in the Railways. In return, land worth crores of rupees was sold to Lalu Yadav’s family members at throwaway prices.
