Jharkhand: A social media stunt turned tragic for an 18-year-old in Jharkhand’s Sahibganj district. The teenager, identified as Tausif, died after allegedly jumping from a height of approximately 100 feet into deep water in an attempt to create a viral Instagram reel. The incident occurred on Monday when he leapt into a quarry lake.

The man, Tausif, jumped from a height of around 100 feet into a quarry lake on Monday evening. His friends, who were bathing in the lake, attempted to rescue him but were unsuccessful.

They alerted local residents and the police, prompting a search operation. The youth’s body was recovered later.

A video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the young man jumping into the water while his friend records the stunt. However, shortly after he began swimming, he started to drown.

He hung upside down from a flagpole on a school roof while his friends recorded the stunt.
