Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024: Voting for the first phase of Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 has begun across 43 out of 81 constituencies today. People have started to queue up at polling stations to cast their votes. Several leaders have also come out to cast their votes in morning hours.
Union Minister Sanjay Seth cast his vote at a polling station in Ranchi. He assured of BJP’s victory in the state and said that people of Jharkhand are fed up with corruption in the last years. He stated that the BJP will win here with a two-third majority.
Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024: What Did Leaders Say?
Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar cast his vote for first phase of assembly elections at a polling station in Ranchi. After casting his vote, Gangwar appealed to the people to come out in large numbers and user their vote ‘wisely.’ He asserted that the election should be celebrated like a festival. He cited Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections as an example and appealed people to come out in large numbers.
Jharkhand Governor said, “I appeal to the people to exercise their franchise and vote in large numbers. The way voting took place in Jammu and Kashmir, people voted in large numbers. The way democracy has been running in our country since independence is an example for the whole world. Use your vote wisely.”
Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024: Candidates Appeal For Vote
Speaking to ANI, JMM candidate from Ranchi, Mahua Maji also appealed to the people to vote for her. Maji emphasised that she wants development of the capital and she will work it. She expressed her willingness to work for the development of the city and asked for an opportunity from people. She further added that she want to bring IT sector in the Ranchi. “I appeal to everyone to vote for me. I want there should be development. Ranchi does not look like a capital and I want to transform it into one…I have an experience in different sectors…,” said Mahua.
NDA candidate from Jamshedpur West assembly seat and JDU leader Saryu Rai cast his vote at a polling booth in Jamshedpur West. Speaking to ANI, he said that Results on November 23 will tell what will happen. Saryu added that he hopes for a change and is positive about formation of NDA government in the state.
Congress candidate from Jamshedpur East, Ajoy Kumar said that he has received immense love form the people of Jamshedpur and good reports are coming from the state. He added that they will continue to fight against the family who has been ruling there for 30 years.
The polling for Jharkhand’s first phase began at around 7:00 am, with voters across 43 constituencies in 15 districts casting their ballots.
