Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the successful rescue of all 41 workers from Uttarkashi’s Silkyara tunnel after 17 days. Applauding the NDRF’s rat-hole mining teams, he hailed the swift evacuation that ensured the safe extraction of the trapped men in under an hour.

Expressing his satisfaction on X (formerly known as Twitter), Modi commended the workers’ courage and patience, describing it as an inspiration to all. He wished them good health and a speedy recovery, emphasizing their resilience and fortitude.

The Prime Minister also expressed heartfelt satisfaction that the rescued workers would reunite with their families after a prolonged wait. Acknowledging the families’ enduring strength, he lauded their remarkable patience and bravery during this trying period. Modi underscored the immense value of their unwavering support in challenging times.

However, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed his joy at the successful rescue of the 41 trapped workers in the Silkyara tunnel. Commending the tireless efforts of agencies led by the PMO, he extended his best wishes to the rescued workers and gratitude to all involved. Additionally, he announced plans for a safety audit of the tunnel.

Meanwhile, a 17-day-long operation that held the nation’s attention, the Silkyara tunnel rescue mission in Uttarakhand culminated in the safe evacuation of 41 trapped workers. The daunting endeavor, executed by rat-hole miners, finally brought relief and jubilation on a previously tense site.

Throughout this ordeal, Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, remained a constant presence, overseeing and coordinating the rescue efforts. His unwavering dedication and presence at the site exemplified the state’s commitment to ensuring the workers’ safety.

As the evacuation reached its culmination, CM Dhami personally met the rescued workers, ensuring their well-being and inquiring about their health. This hands-on approach showcased not just administrative responsibility but also empathy towards those who endured this harrowing ordeal.

Union Minister VK Singh’s presence further underscored the gravity of the situation. His visit was not merely ceremonial; it signified the government’s active engagement and concern for the safety of the trapped workers.
