In a released statement, IAF said, ” Today’s operation has seen this helicopter flying multiple missions dispensing almost 22,000 liters of water to fight the fire.”

Indian Air force in coordination with the Indian Navy and local admin combating forest fire in the affected areas of Goa. As per Statement, Operation will continue tomorrow.

According to the release, Bambi Bucket is a technique in which a helicopter carries water under a slug and releases it over the affected area to douse the fire.

A fire broke out in Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary earlier this week.

The Government has ordered a detailed inquiry into the matter.
