Independence Day 2022: Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and wife Nita Ambani celebrated India’s 76th Independence Day on Monday with their grandson Prithvi Akash Ambani.

In an 18-second video shared by news agency ANI, Mukesh Ambani can be seen carrying his grandson in his lap while Nita Ambani is waving the tricolour. Other people are also seen behind them in the video, holding the tricolor in their hands. The patriotic song ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’ is playing in the background.

This year, Independence Day is particularly significant because it marks the 76th anniversary of the country’s independence. India has completed 75 years since the ‘Tryst with Destiny’ on the midnight of August 15, 1947 heralded the departure of the British.

The government has organised a host of events to celebrate the event across the country. ‘Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ is part of the celebrations commemorating the completion of the 75th year of independence.

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the aegis of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ saw Prime Minister Narendra Modi request the public to display the national flag at their homes.

According to the government, the idea behind the initiative was to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
