During a townhall event in Delhi called ‘Mahila Samman Samaroh’, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal advised women not to serve dinner to their husbands if they keep chanting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s name. Kejriwal emphasized the importance of addressing such behavior by stating that if husbands are constantly chanting Modi’s name, wives should express their disapproval by refusing to serve them dinner.

He said, “If your husband chants Modi’s name, tell him you won’t serve him dinner”.

The event, was organized as part of the city government’s initiative to engage with women following the announcement of a new scheme in the 2024-25 budget. This scheme aims to provide a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 to all women aged above 18 years.

Arvind Kejriwal urged the women to request their family members to swear their support to him and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He emphasized the importance of unity by asking women to convey to others supporting the BJP that only he, referring to himself as “your brother Kejriwal,” would stand by them.

“Tell them that I have made their electricity free, their bus tickets free, and now I’m giving these Rs 1,000 to women every month. What has the BJP done for them? Why vote for BJP then? Vote for Kejriwal this time,” said the AAP supremo.

The Delhi Chief Minister also stated that women empowerment efforts were deceptive until now.
