New Delhi: Former fighter pilot of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on Monday participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra and walked alongside Congress’ former chief Rahul Gandhi in Punjab.

The Congress’ footmarch has resumed from Punjab’s Jalandhar which will head to Hoshiyarpur which the ‘yatra’ will rest in the evening.

Earlier on Sunday, several “distinguished individuals” joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra such as father of popular singer and Congress leader late Sidhu Moose Wala, Balkaur Singh Sidhu. Ex-servicemen led by Veer Chakra awardee Major General Sheonan Singh who is the nephew of Bhagat Singh also joined the ‘yatra’.
Kanyakumari To Kashmir
The Bharat Jodo Yatra started on September 7 last year from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu which will end in Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. Beside Tamil Nadu, the yatra has covered several states including Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.

On January 3, the Congress’ footmarch will resume after a 9-day long break in Delhi. On Tuesday, the yatra will start in Uttar Pradesh.
