Gujarat Assembly Election 2022: The election bugle for Gujarat’s 15th assembly will sound on Thursday. The Election Commission will hold a press conference at 12 pm. In this press conference, it is anticipated that the Election Commission would reveal the dates for the Gujarat Assembly elections. The Gujarati government’s term will end on February 23, 2023.

Election for 182 seats

Let us inform you that the state has 182 total assembly seats. 40 of these are reserved seats. While there are 27 seats set apart for Scheduled Tribes (ST)/Tribal society and 13 seats set up for Scheduled Castes (SC).

2017 election outcome

In the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP won 99 seats and the Congress 77. The NCP was successful in winning one seat, while the Indian Tribal Party (BTP) was successful in winning two. Three seats were added to the account of independent candidates at the same time. This also implicated Jignesh Mevani, who was supported by the Congress.
