After his arrest on Thursday night, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was produced in the PMLA court on Friday afternoon. The Enforcement Directorate produced him to seek a custodial remand of at least ten days in the liquor policy scam case.

ED stated in the PMLA court that Arvind Kejriwal is the kingpin of the Delhi liquor policy scam. He along with the deputy chief minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia misused this policy and used the money extracted out of it in the Goa elections.
The agency also added that Vijay Nair played a mediator between Kejriwal and K. Kavitha. The latter is arrested and her statement has been taken. Producing a chat between two people, ED stated that an amount of Rs. 45 crore was sent to Goa via Hawala.

Ahead of the hearing, he was allowed to meet his team of lawyers for a legal consultation. The courtroom was so chaotic with a swarm of people that the ASG (Additional Solicitor General) found it difficult to enter the room.

Before this, Kejriwal withdrew his petition in the Supreme Court challenging his arrest by the ED in the Delhi liquor policy scam case.

ED has prepared a 28-page document to support this arrest after the search operation at the CM’s residence. During the investigation, the law enforcement agency also grabbed some WhatsApp chats with K. Kavitha and others that smelled fishy and skeptical.
