Patna: Former Janata Dal (United) President Sharad Yadav has died in Patna. Shubhasini Sharad Yadav, Sharad Yadav’s daughter, revealed the news on Twitter. ‘Papa is no longer,’ wrote Sharad Yadav’s daughter.

Yadav was 75 years old at the time. He died tonight at 9:00 p.m. in Fortis Hospital. Yadav is a four-term MP from Bihar’s Madhepura constituency. Following the death of former JDU national president, a wave of grief has swept Bihar’s political corridor.
Sharad Yadav had a falling out with Nitish Kumar a few years back. Following this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was elected as the party’s national president. Sharad Yadav left JDU and founded a new party. Despite this, he had grown close to Lalu Prasad’s RJD.
Many prominent personalities and Bihar leaders have expressed their grief in the aftermath of Sharad Yadav’s death.
