After a magistrate was booked in Karauli, Rajasthan over allegations of asking a gangrape survivor to strip, another victim has come forward alleging the judge did very same with her last year in July.

As sources say, another victim in Rajasthan has come forward after reading headlines about the Karauli magistrate. The magistrate of this district who recently made headlines for the most immoral and criminal conduct during the discharge of his official duty has now faced another allegation of misconduct while recording a statement of a girl under CRPC 164.

Another victim from the same magistrate

This girl could clench her fist and collect courage only after reading that the magistrate had been pointed out and an FIR had been lodged against him in a recent case. However, after the FIR, the Rajasthan Judicial Service Officers’ Association filed a writ petition to protect the rights of officers of the judiciary and to get the FIR quashed citing a case of UP Judicial Officers’ Association vs Union of India and others, where the judgment says: When any criminal conduct is attributed to a judicial officer in the discharge of his duties, no crime for investigation should be registered pursuant to any FIR without the permission of the chief justice of concerned High Court.

He threatened me when…

As per sources, in her complaint filed on April 6, 2024, the victim said that on July 31, 2023, after the recording of her statement, the magistrate (name) asked her to strip, and rolled his hand over her body. On opposing his immoral act, she was threatened by him. She added that she hesitated due to social stereotypes and boundaries but after coming across a similar incident, she came to file her complaint.

Survivor and family struggling

In an exclusive interaction with News24, the kin to the gangrape survivor who suffered the alleged criminal offense from the magistrate recently, said that they are being threatened by govt officials, particularly placed in the judiciary in different capacities.
